Owner and Developer, Mr. Kobus Jacobs, had a dream to develop a local shopping centre in the heart of Sonheuwel 26 years ago and the development soon kicked off in 1995. The Shopping Centre quickly expanded and welcomed Spar, BP Filling Station and Roman’s Pizza as one of the main tenants in the centre.

The shopping centre expanded over a few years and developed retail, commercial and restaurant space and now boasts 12 beautiful buildings in the open air shopping centre. 

In 2012, Mr Jacobs had a vision to develop a building that is dedicated for medical services and completed the development in 2013. Today, the “Sonmed Building” offers medical services including Dialysis, General Practitioners, Pharmaceutical and Dentistry services. The “Sonmed Building” is wheel chair friendly and has designated patient parking available.

Sonpark Shoping Centre offers a variety of hair & beauty services, health & fitness, weight loss and medical facilities. The restaurants and coffee shops within Sonpark Shopping Centre each bring something delicious and different to the table and wont disappoint a customer’s taste buds.

Sonpark Shopping Centre is connected to backup generators which ensures that tenants and customers aren’t effected by load shedding.
